Daytime clubbing, every weekend!

Belfast is about to welcome a new weekend format that’s set to shake up how the city goes out.

Ahead of its launch later this month, we got an early look at what’s coming to Alibi Belfast as entertainment brand Popaganda introduces a fresh mix of day parties, themed events and early evening experiences. SO30 will run from 5 10pm for Over 30s, with the bar staying open late for those who want to keep things going.

Then, from Saturday 29th November, as late-night public transport kicks in, everybody is welcome from 10pm, with the venue open until 2am. What is SO30?

SO30 (Strictly Over 30s) is a weekly event built around early starts, nostalgic themes and feel-good music from the 80s, 90s and 00s. It’s made for people who love going out but want something that fits better around real life.

A familiar venue with a new energy

For years, Alibi and M Club were known for their big nights. Now, the space is being reimagined for a new era. It’s about giving people the freedom to enjoy their weekend their way.

Sanjeev Passi, Director of Popaganda, said:

“A lot of people still love to socialise, but the way they want to do it has changed. Some want to be on the dancefloor by 6pm and home before midnight, others want to keep the energy going late. From October 25th we’ll run until 10pm for Over 30s, and from November 29th, when late-night transport begins, we’ll be open into the early hours for everybody. It’s about real choice and building weekends that fit people’s lives.”

A new weekend rhythm

From launch, the bar will stay open after SO30 so people can keep the good times going if they wish. From Saturday 29th November, the venue opens from 10pm for everybody, with the venue open until 2am.
